1. Audi Calamaro


Somewhat of a cross between a car and a plane, designer Tibor developed the Audi Calamaro Concept Car for a design competition organized by Porsche Hungary. The bone of a cuttlefish inspired this interesting shape, he says. Of course, we eagerly wait to see what could possibly power this machine, seeing it does lack tires, or propellers or thrusters of any sort.

World's First Solar Plant That Generates Power at Night


The new Gemasolar Power Plant near Seville in southern Spain is the world’s first solar plant to have the capacity to generate electricity even at night. More than 2600 concentrically arranged mirrors spread across 185 hectares of rural land concentrate solar energy towards a centrally located molten nitrate salt tank. As the rays converge, they super-heat the salt to over 900C, causing water around the tank to boil and drive steam turbines.

Water Powered Jetpack - Fly Across Water


Everybody dreams about flying through the air at some point in their life, now it's possible with the new Jetlev-Flyer - a futuristic jet pack! Canadian engineer Raymond Li designed the water-powered machine so that it can hover up to 30 meters in the air and reach speeds of up to 22mph as you make your way across the water.
